Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I hire your company to do a pest control/extermination service at my home or business for a particular pest problem, will I have to sign a contract for monthly or yearly service?

Our answer is NO! Our policy is to:
  • gather the information needed about your pest problem
  • discuss the best possible solution to control your pest problem
  • make any preparations needed to exterminate your pests
  • and make an appointment.
When the service technician arrives he will review the pest control or extermination services that are about to be performed. If any questions arise, he will be more than happy to answer them for you. All pest control and exterminator services are performed under a warranty that will also be discussed at that time. We do offer a number of preventative pest control services that our office staff or certified exterminator will be more then happy to explain to you.

Q: I've only seen a few insects in my building, should I call you?

Where there is smoke, there is often fire. If you see a few bees for example, there may be an entire hive that can eventually be buzzing around. Rodents can often carry disease and cause structural damage by eating through the walls of your building. Early extermination of pests as soon as you see them is the safest way to prevent a larger problem in the future.

Q: How can I tell what kind of pests, bugs, rodents, etc. I have?

No problem! We have detailed resources here to help you pinpoint exactly what bugs or pests need to be exterminated or otherwise controlled. Just click on the category of pest below and find the picture that is the closest match for your pest problem.

Q: I think I have bed bugs! What should I do?

First, make sure by using our insect identification page. If you still think you have bed bugs, do not throw out your bed. Not only could this spread the infestation, but your new bed be re-infested. Also, if you switch beds (another room, etc.) after sleeping in a bed bug infested bed, you may bring the bed bugs to the new bed. Keep calm and call us immediately. Our qualified exterminators in the Buffalo, Rochester and surrounding Western New York areas will take great care of you ASAP.

Q: Can I exterminate my own bugs and set my own traps?

Sometimes it's dangerous to even try, especially if you have pets or small children in the area. If you do try and exterminate your own pests, you should also be aware that most will return within as little as 60 days unless specific steps are taken to prevent it. The most effective way to exterminate and prevent pests is with a complete service plan from an experienced pest management company.

Q: How did these pests get into my building?

Pests can get into buildings any number of ways. However, this is more likely to happen during certain times of the year. As it gets colder outside in Buffalo, Rochester and the rest of WNY, pests may enter your home to seek shelter and food. In some cases you can bring them into your home after traveling. In other cases they will come through the door when you do. There are many cracks and openings in buildings that small pests and insects can easily use to enter. Once they're in though, we can find where they hide and get them out.
